Somehow, even the modern society, no one can prove why the pregnant women get morning sickness.

Many pregnant women often start to have morning sickness around 5 weeks of pregnancy. Also, the peak of morning sickness is between 8 and 11 weeks of pregnancy. However, there are individual differences.

Some women say, “I had nausea after 5 weeks like (getting) car/sea sick. And I started to vomit after 6 weeks.” Others say, “I had morning sickness around the scheduled menstruation, for the first baby. And it happened after 5 weeks when I got pregnant with the second baby.”

When does morning sickness disappear?

Pregnant women who have to fight morning sickness survive the hard days by thinking that “I can do whatever I want when morning sickness is over”.

Morning sickness is usually over after 16 weeks. And this is when a pregnant woman enters into a stable period and feel comfortable. Again, there may be individual differences.

Although some pregnant women continue to have morning sickness after the stable period, it will surely end. The important thing is to learn to cope with morning sickness early in the pregnancy and mind your baby’s health as well as your own.

As the baby grows into late pregnancy, the stomach and other internal organs are compressed. This causes the mother to have feelings of morning sickness similar to the early pregnancy.

You may feel stomachache and nausea, and actually vomit. This is a symptom called “late morning sickness”. This is the period when the late morning sickness is getting better which happens around the last month of pregnancy when the baby gets down into position.
