Fertility and Pregnancy

“Female hormone” is a very important hormone and significantly related to the beauty and health of women, but many people may not understand what it is actually. And some people may have questions such as, “What is a female hormone?” “How many kinds of female hormone are there?” “Is there a way to increase female hormones?”, etc.

Female hormone has a strong influence from adolescence to the 40’s and 50’s.

This article will introduce why female hormones are essential and  an unavoidable part of our lives as women.

Why is female hormone related to female rhythm?

Hormones are substances secreted in the body and control various organs and tissues. Among them, “female hormone” has a big influence on the body’s rhythm and feminine body-line.

So, if you feel that something wrong with your body, it’s better to check the hormone balance.

What are two types of female hormones?

Do you know that the female hormone is a hormone secreted from the ovary and that there are two types of hormones: estrogen and progesterone?

Relating to femininity

Follicular hormone: estrogen

One of female hormones is estrogen which is a representative of female hormone and makes a feminine body. It also fulfills the role of protecting the moisture of the skin and the hair, making a rounded and feminine body, and supporting the overall health of a woman’s body. In addition to that , it is characterized by its great influence on the mind and body of women in order for the brain and autonomic nerves to work.

Relating to pregnancy

Luteinizing hormone: progesterone

Progesterone is effective in maintaining pregnancy, such as preparing the endometrium for implantation of fertilized eggs and raising the basal body temperature. Also, it keeps  moisture in the body. The changes in the body that appear before menstruation are said to be the function of progesterone.

These two female hormones “estrogen” and “progesterone” interlock with menstruation, and change the balance of each secretion amount with a certain cycle. First, estrogen increases dramatically after menstruation. Ovulation occurs after the peak is reached and then decreases.

On the other hand, progesterone, which increases little by little before ovulation, increases more with estrogen after ovulation, but both hormones decrease before menstruation. This cycle occurs at a span of about 28 days. However, changes in the mind and body of women appear when the secretion balance of “estrogen” and “progesterone” changes.

Female hormone decreases with ages

Among the two female hormones, “estrogen” is particularly related to “femininity”. The amount of female hormones secreted in our lifetime is about 1 teaspoon. In that seemingly small quantity, all the beauty and health of women is involved.

Can you increase female hormones?

As a conclusion, you can’t increase this female hormone. Because the amount of secretion changes greatly with age, where it  peaks in the late 20s to early 30s. In the late 30s, the  secretion level starts to gradually decline, and continues to  decrease. The follicle in the ovary also decreases, especially at the age of 45 to 55 before and after menopause.

 Conclusion

Female-specific “fluctuation” such as “irritation”, “anxiety”, and “sweating” occurs around this time. Furthermore, those at this age tend to get tired and stress easily in the living environment at home and work.  The hormonal balance tends to be disturbed as well as it is less likely to function  at a level similar to your younger years. Conversely, taking measures against this decrease in female hormones leads to the relaxation of “fluctuations”.

Now, you know about two types of female hormones. Both of them are very important to women. It helps to know how to deal with in your daily life. In the next article, we will talk about how to manage those female hormones.
